As a new actor or actress, finding those early opportunities can seem like a challenge – but why should proving your skills and launching your career be such a struggle? Estimates find that as few as just 8% of graduates hold a performing degree within fifteen months following their graduation, indicating just how difficult the acting landscape can be for new entrants.

This was a challenge that we faced first-hand. Still, we knew there had to be a more professional and valuable opportunity for actors, actresses, and performers.

And so, Artbicus Limited was launched to transform the possibilities for new actors and ensure a viable, valuable, and productive opportunity for actors and actresses in the South of England to further their careers.

Our Personal Struggle

As an actress herself, our founder, Marianna, experienced the immense difficulties and challenges so many drama students faced first-hand. All too often, as she discovered herself, new graduates are limited in their opportunities, often only able to land unpaid projects to add to their portfolio. It’s a long process to get experience and build a reputation – and, for many actors and actresses, it’s simply unfeasible.

However, rather than just accepting this as a reality, she was determined to make a difference for other acting graduates – and so, she launched Artbiscus Limited to serve as a professional media and entertainment company at the forefront of empowering new acting graduates and in particular for female performers.

Kick-Starting Acting Careers From the Very First Role

Every graduate actor and actress should have the chance to find work and showcase their skills, if you ask us. Here at Artbiscus Limited, we strive to develop innovative and revolutionary projects, focused on graduate actors to help support new entrants into the industry. Even more prominently, we wanted to give actresses the chance to make their voices heard – something that is often overlooked, no matter how hard mainstream media tries to tackle this issue.

With time, we dream of expanding our services and offering support to more and more people. Eventually, we hope to encourage new local performers to get into the industry and expand opportunities in regions outside of London to help as many people showcase their acting talents overall.

So, why not join us on this journey of discovery and outreach? Together, we hope to support countless newly qualified actors and actresses in finding their roles, making their marks, and genuinely having their voices heard – a goal we believe is integral for the health of the entertainment industry as a whole.
